  • Information provided through our Kitten Enquiry or Stud Enquiry forms

  • Details about your household, lifestyle, existing animals and experience with cats

  • The ages of children living in the household, without requiring their names

  • Information about a queen, including her registered name, registry, pedigree, EMS code, date of birth, blood group and health-test results

  • Documents uploaded in support of a proposed mating, including registration, vaccination, pedigree, DNA, FIV and FeLV records

  • Contract information and limited payment records where an enquiry proceeds to an agreement

  • Your preferences concerning litter updates and other communications

  • Technical information generated when you use the website, such as IP address, browser and device information and privacy or cookie choices

Please do not include children’s names, medical information, school details or any other information that is not necessary for us to consider your enquiry.

HOW WE RECEIVE INFORMATION

Most information is provided directly by you when you:

  • Complete one of our website forms

  • Contact us by email

  • Enter into a kitten or stud agreement

  • Make an agreed payment separately from the website

  • Ask to receive updates about future litters

Where relevant, we may also receive information from a joint owner, breeder, veterinary practice, diagnostic laboratory, registration body, insurer or transport provider.

Some technical information is collected automatically by Wix and the technologies used to operate, secure and maintain the website.

INFORMATION NEEDED FROM YOU

You are not required to submit an enquiry or provide personal information through this website.

However, if we do not have the information needed to consider a kitten home, proposed mating or agreement, we may be unable to proceed.

Consent to receive litter updates is always optional. Where consent is required for cookies or similar technologies, providing that consent is also optional.

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to questions and correspondence

OUR LAWFUL BASES

Depending on the purpose, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

Contract - where information is necessary to respond to a request before entering into an agreement or to fulfil a kitten or stud agreement.

Legitimate interests - where it is reasonably necessary for responsible kitten placement, breeding decisions, animal welfare, record keeping, website security or the protection of Tycoon Manor’s legal interests. We consider these interests against the individual’s rights and privacy.

Legal obligation - where information must be kept or used to comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements.

Consent - for optional litter updates and for cookies or similar technologies where consent is required by law. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

KITTEN ENQUIRIES

A kitten enquiry asks for enough information to help us understand the home being offered and whether it may suit one of our kittens.

Every enquiry is considered personally. We do not use automated decision-making to choose homes for our kittens.

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee or reserve a kitten. Information is used only for responsible placement, communication and the purposes described in this policy.

STUD ENQUIRIES

Stud enquiries require more detailed information because the health, registration and genetic compatibility of both cats must be considered.

Documents supplied about a visiting queen are treated as private. They are reviewed only for the proposed pairing, associated records and any legal, contractual, breeding or welfare purpose that may follow.

We do not publish or share a visiting queen’s documents without a proper reason or the owner’s knowledge, unless disclosure is required by law.

LITTER UPDATES

Occasional email updates about planned pairings, confirmed pregnancies, new litters or kittens that may suit a particular home are sent only where the individual has actively chosen to receive them.

The updates checkbox is optional and is not required to submit an enquiry.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time by using the unsubscribe option in an email or by contacting:

enquiries@tycoonmanor.com

Withdrawing consent will not affect ordinary communication about an existing enquiry, agreement or cat already placed with you.

PAYMENTS

No payments are taken through this website.

If a reservation fee, balance, stud fee or other payment is agreed, payment is arranged separately.

We may keep basic information needed to identify and record a payment, such as the amount, date and payment reference.

Tycoon Manor does not collect or store payment-card details.

WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Where reasonably necessary, information may be shared with:

  • Wix, which provides website hosting, forms and related website services

  • Email and document-storage providers

  • Banking or payment providers used for agreed payments made separately from the website

  • Veterinary practices and diagnostic laboratories

  • GCCF, TICA or another relevant registration body

  • A microchip database or introductory insurance provider, where applicable and agreed

  • A transport provider involved in an agreed collection or journey

  • An accountant, insurer or legal adviser, if needed

  • A public authority where we are legally required to provide information

Only the information necessary for the particular purpose will be shared.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Wix and some of the other services used to operate the website may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where this happens, appropriate arrangements recognised under UK data protection law are relied upon to protect that information.

HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We do not keep personal information indefinitely without a reason.

Our usual retention periods are:

  • General correspondence: up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact

  • An enquiry that does not proceed: normally up to 12 months after the decision

  • Uploaded stud documentation where a mating does not proceed: normally deleted within six months of the decision

  • Litter-update and interest-list information: while consent remains current, with inactive records reviewed after 24 months

  • Stud-service records where a mating proceeds: normally six years after completion of the service

  • Kitten contracts and essential ownership, registration and welfare records: for the lifetime of the cat where reasonably needed for continuing support, traceability and contractual responsibilities

  • Financial records: for as long as required by applicable legal or tax rules

  • Marketing consent and opt-out records: for as long as needed to record and respect the individual’s choice

  • Cookie and privacy choices: for as long as reasonably required to remember or respect the visitor’s choice, subject to the settings of the relevant website service

  • Website security and technical logs: according to the periods applied by Wix and other relevant service providers, or for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate security, misuse or technical problems

Information may be retained longer where there is an unresolved complaint, legal claim, welfare concern or legal obligation.

When information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.

Website and form information is held through access-controlled services. Uploaded pedigrees, health results and other private documents are not made publicly available.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but access to private information is limited to those who reasonably need it.
